Beverly Jo Newcomer of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, June 10, 1933 in Sheridan, Wyoming. A daughter of the late, Alma Belle (Helvey) Ferguson and the late, Ralph LeRoy Ferguson. Beverly departed this life on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Potosi Manor, having reached the age of 83 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Beverly was united in marriage to Robert Lee DeGonia on March 17, 1954 and to this union was born one daughter, Janice. Robert preceded Beverly in death on December 30, 1964. On July 1, 1967 she was united in marriage to Alfred Newcomer, Alfred preceded her in death on March 22, 2009.

She is survived by daughter, Janice Eaton and husband, Randy of Potosi, Missouri; one brother, Dean Ferguson and wife, Phyllis of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Alice Dickey of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Brandi Cosentino and Jason Seiffert of Imperial, Missouri; Ryan Eaton and wife, Danielle of Fenton, Missouri; four step-grandchildren, Michelle Boyer and husband, Marty of Potosi, Missouri; Kim Turner and husband, Kermit of Potosi, Missouri; Pam Wilkinson and husband, Travis of Potosi, Missouri; Jason Eaton of Potosi, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Aubree Eaton, Brayden Cosentino, Allyson Eaton, Ayla Eaton; six step-great-grandchildren, Lauren Laramore, Justin Laramore, Kayleigh Angle, Chase Boyer, Garrett Wilkinson, Tyson Eaton; four step great-great-grandchildren, Jaelyn Dayton, Mason Dayton, Micah Laramore, Gracie Laramore; sister in law, Louise Newcomer of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma Belle Ferguson and father, Ralph Ferguson; first husband, Robert Lee DeGonia and second husband, Alfred Newcomer.

Beverly was very active in her community, always helping in many different ways. She was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church since 1949, a past member of the Potosi Lioness Club, Washington County Farm Bureau Board and assisted as Treasurer of the Potosi Rural Fire Department. She coordinated the efforts of the Samaritan House for many years. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the banking business and had worked many aspects there and retired as Vice President.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi and will resume on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the Potosi Southern Baptist Church.

Final prayers and burial will be in the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Ryan Eaton, Jason Seiffert, Dave DeGonia, Rick DeGonia, Buck DeGonia and Jeff DeGonia.

In memory of Beverly, it is desired for memorial donations to be made to the Potosi Elks Backpack Program or to the Caring Hearts Pregnancy Resource Center, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, MO.
