James Ray Bayless of Irondale, Missouri was born on January 15, 1952 in Farmington, Missouri. A son of the late, Noah Bayless and the late, Bessie (Weddle) Bayless. Jim departed this life on November 19, 2016 at the Parkland Hospital in Farmington, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-four years, ten months and four days.
James was united in marriage to Pamala Spier on August 11, 1973 in Irondale, Missouri and were blessed with three children.
Jim is survived by one daughter, Tamara Pidcock and husband, Chris of Irondale, Missouri; two sons, James Ray Bayless Jr. and wife, Kathy of Columbia, Missouri; Geoffrey Lee Bayless of Irondale, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Jones-Bayless of Washington, Missouri; Barb Queen of Washington, Missouri; five grandchildren: Ashlynn Pidcock, Bridget Lovelace, Brianna Bayless, William Knight and Alex Hutson; also surviving are other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamala Bayless, four sisters, Artie Wright, Stella Bayless, Bernice Brewer, Betty Sides, one brother, John Thomas Bayless, one brother-in-law, Roy Queen.
Jim served in the United States Army enlisting on August 22, 1972. While serving he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Campaign Medal and was honorably discharged on October 10, 1978.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation was held Saturday November 26, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri with Brother Jamie Haguewood officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Knob Lick Cemetery, Farmington, Missouri.
