Imogene Louise Province of Irondale, Missouri was born on March 4, 1927 in Bluford, Missouri. A daughter of the late, Orley Youngblood and the late, Nettie (Smith) Youngblood. Imogene departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Parkland Hospital in Farmington, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-nine years, four months and twenty-five days.
Imogene was united in marriage to Wilburn Province on February 12, 1944 in Leadwood, Missouri and were blessed with six children.
Imogene is survived by two daughters, Sandra Center of Irondale, Missouri; Sharon Brotherton of Irondale, Missouri; four sons, Larry Province and wife, Sheila of Irondale, Missouri; Gary Province and wife, Connie of Patton, Missouri; Dennis Province and wife, Connie of Irondale, Missouri; Bruce Province and wife, Mary of Mineral Point, Missouri; one sister, Janet King and husband, Dale of Park Hills, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Province, two sisters, Mary Winfield, Rose Sikes, two brothers, Leo Winfield and Joseph Winfield.
Imogene always loved to babysit, she was always surrounding herself with children which made her very happy. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and to tac quilts. Imogene also enjoyed gardening and reading. She always had a smile on her face and loved to see her family and friends who will deeply miss her.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home in Irondale, Missouri and Monday, August 1, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Irondale Church of the Nazarene.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Irondale Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Scott Cook officiating.
Final prayers and Burial took place in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, Caledonia, Missouri.
